Falmouth Community School offers FREE after school programs for our students.  We have partnered with several non-profits and organizations in our community to provide extended learning.  We believe that learning doesn't stop at the end of the school day and our efforts to continue the days with programs that are meaningful, creative and important to the development of our students.  Please see our description of our programs below. This is our last year's announcement.  Some of our partners may not be offering programs this year and we may have additional partners to add soon.

Falmouth Community School presents: “Our Cultural Community” In this program, students in kindergarten through fourth grade will have the opportunity to explore the rich cultural communities of Falmouth and Cape Cod. Students will work with educators from the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, the Cape Verdean Cultural Center and Hispanic Heritage to investigate art, dance, and historical traditions. Students will then have the opportunity to explore their own ancestry through individual cultural expression using music, art and dance.  

What does a Scientist Do?: Inquiry and Innovation In this program, students in grades three and four will have the opportunity to work with scientists and researchers from the Woods Hole community to learn about how scientists answer questions and solve problems. Each week, a science educator from a Woods Hole Science Partner will visit the school and guide students through a hands-on investigation in a variety of topics to solve an engaging problem. Participating Science Partners are Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Association, and the Marine Biological Laboratory.

Your donation is used to provide such opportunities to our students.  Without donations, we would not be able to continue these critical programs.
